During these classes, the youth will be brainstorming and identifying different skills, talents, interests and passions that they possess and how those intersect with a great business opportunity for them. They will be taught how to think outside of the box, how to write a rough draft of a business plan, and how to begin transforming their passions and interests into real businesses! The major question they need to answer here is the WHY?
These speakers will commit to a one-time session to talk about their business experience and share their knowledge in the field to the students in class.
Youth meet local entrepreneurs to learn what it takes to launch and operate a successful business.
Local reporters speak with youth about how media coverage can help their business, and how to earn that coverage.
During these classes potential entrepreneurs will be guided in choosing a particular skill/vocation to train in. This could be their intended passion, profession or occupation. The training will be hands on (practice). The acquired skills will be piloted under the entrepreneurship project.
During the course of training participants will visit our partner successful entrepreneurs for inspiration.
Learners will legally register their business name, apply for TIN, and open bank accounts and licenses.
During these classes, the youth will be putting together their business plans based on their business ideas created in the previous sessions and preparing to present their plans for funding at the Investor Panel Event. This segment teaches youth the process of writing a complete business plan, how to meet deadlines and benchmarks, and how to polish and prepare their plans to present to a panel of investors for the hopes of getting funded.
Learners are encouraged to practice thrift to attain financial goals with emphasis on spending wisely. The learner will develop an understanding that frugality is key in raising business finance and attaining financial freedom. Learners will be exposed to various sources of finance.
The final training will be entrepreneurship project where by participants will be trained in different skills/vocations, grouped and required to write a project proposal and then provided with soft loan capital to use for one month and then write a report.
During these classes, the youth will be putting their business plans to action as they produce products, order equipment, perfect their services, and prepare to get their first real customers at the Trade Show Event and actually complete the launch of their business.
